PERSEPHONE has been presented at 37th International Geological Congress (IGC)

On August 26th, 2024, PERSEPHONE project has been presented at the 37th International Geological Congress (IGC) in Busan, Korea. The presentation, delivered to an audience of approximately 50 participants, sparked a lively and engaging Q&A session. Key topics discussed included coreless drilling technology, minimum detection thresholds for in-situ analytics, and the integration of AI in robotic mining fleets.

The 37th International Geological Congress (IGC) in Busan, themed "The Great Travelers: Voyages to the Unifying Earth," will celebrate the relentless pursuit of geologists across time to unravel the mysteries of Earth's systems and their evolution. This conference will foster critical discussions and discoveries, addressing the challenges of the Anthropocene by exploring the interactions between the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, and geosphere. IGC 2024 Busan will also pioneer the "E-geology" initiative, a virtual fieldwork program that leverages Korea's advanced internet infrastructure to connect geologists worldwide with key geological sites, revolutionizing geological science education.
