PERSEPHONE at The 8th MINEX Europe Forum

Marko Komac from INTRAW made a presentation of PERSEPHONE project at The 8th MINEX Europe Forum - Securing Europe’s metals and minerals supply that was held on 22 and 23 October 2024 in Prague (Czech Republic) (MINEX Europe 2024). Among the 80-90 attendees of the session, PERSEPHONE raised several questions related with benefits of small automated / robotic mining machines, the drilling capabilities of small-scale machines, especially as core-less drilling is not the best option, and challenges of overcoming larger obstacles. Such feedback will help the PERSEPHONE team to steer future research. Marko also met with representative of two EH projects, MultiMiner and MINEYE, Veronika Strnadova from Czech Geological Survey, to learn about these sister projects and to discuss cross-cooperation between the three European Horizon projects.
